The Devon Doorway is a contemporary pub on the leafy outskirts of Heswall. We know you’ll love the open plan stylish interior with a large bar, spacious restaurant and a beautiful garden.

From the outside the Devon Doorway may look like a quaint English pub, but you will be amazed by the transformation inside, which has created a stylish and warm pub with plenty of places to nestle with friends.

The menu is simple but up-to-the-minute with lots of comfort appeal, with homely things like pizzas, steaks and pasta with to some global dishes to keep things lively. We have now added a bar menu that is available all day, with a selection of sandwiches, lighter bites, and a range of our pub favourites. We also ensure that our daily specials are created with consideration to the season and produce. We have a passion for excellent food we are sure you will enjoy.

Our wine list contains a wide range of New and Old world wines that suit all occasions and styles, ranging from traditional Clarets to Pink Pinot Grigio – with many available by the glass. We also stock lots of Champagnes for when you wish to celebrate a special occasion or even make an ordinary occasion special!

The bar area is a home from home. Whether you want to nestle by the fireplace and enjoy one of our award winning ales or you are joining a group of friends for a catch-up, The Devon Doorway will soon be your favourite place to meet.

Opening Times

We now serve food all day until 10pm on Monday to Thursday and until 10.30pm Friday and Saturday. On a Sunday we now open our dining room until 8.00pm.

Additionally, we have extended our pub opening times until 11.30pm midweek. And at the weekend you can now extend your stay with us until 12.30am.
